Kristine Elliot - Ontario's first patient Ombudsman

Dr. David Webster 4 April, 2018

Ms. Elliott's actions as Ontario's Patient Ombudsman, sets her apart from the other Ombudsman who were only ruling on technical issues. Ms. Elliott dealt with a real patient (Carol) and was fully aware of the nightmare her life became directly because of how her physicians were forced to investigate and treat her in a publicly funded hospital. She will utterly dismiss what happened to Carol as either representing “Excellent Care for All” in Ontario, not in her mandate, or none of her concern.
